School of Science congratulates Asst.Prof.Dr.Surat Laphookhieo on his academic achievement, the position of Associate Professor in Organic Chemistry, appointed since June 20, 2014 by the MFU council.

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Surat has been consistently carrying on the natural product chemistry research since 2007, focusing on chemical composition and biological activity of various plants in Northern and Northeastern Thailand. His research has been granted by both internal and external organizations, i.e. the Thailand Research Fund (TRF), the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), the Commission on Higher Education (CHE). Consequently, many collaborations between School of Science and national and international organizations, such as University of British Columbia, CANADA, and University of Hawaii at Hilo, USA, have been constructed. Under his supervision, 70 scientific research articles were published in 7 years (H-index = 13).

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Surat is the outstanding researcher, and one of our pride.
