Special Talk by Professor Tapani Yli-Mattila and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chatchawan Jantasuriyarat

On 17th - 18th October 2015, Professor Tapani Yli-Mattila from University of Turku, Finland and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chatchawan Jantasuriyarat from the Department of Genetics, Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University were invited by the School of Science to be guest speakers of the special talk and workshop on “Plant-Fungus Interactions, Molecular Detection, Identification and Quantification of Fungal Toxigenic Species using Fusarium as a Model” at the School of Science’s conference room, Mae Fah Luang University in which a total of 25 people including faculty members, undergraduate and graduate students participated. The speakers gave talks on the crop damaging mechanism by fungi, crop response mechanism when damaged by fungi, fungi inspection and separation techniques. In addition, the participants were trained to use application programs which analyze gel electrophoresis results and construct dendrogram.
