The university provides a budget of 20,000 baht/person for academic activities and training. Examples of activities are:

2.1) Factory visits: In order to enhance understanding in industrial ceramic processing, the programme supervisors normally arrange visits for students to a wide variety of ceramic product factories. Examples of ceramic factories that have been visited in the past two years are:
Royal Porcelain, American Standard, Siam Refractory, Indra Ceramics, Celadon House, Tao Sae Thai, Crown Ceramic, Siam Celadon, Thai Celadon, Quality Ceramic, Circle Ceramic, and Royal Ceramic Industry. Click to see pictures.

2.2) Conference and Training:
To broaden their knowledge, students are normally encouraged to attend conferences or training that relates to the academic programme. Examples of the activities are:
The Third National Materials Science Seminar, Bangkok.
Workshop on A Microscopical Technique for the Study of Faults on a Ceramic Ware at Mae Fah Luang University. Lecturer: Mr. Phil Robinson, UK.
Workshop on Porcelain Ceramics, Chiangmai.
Seminar on nanomaterials, Chaingmai.

2) Technology Transfer via Short Course Training:
Pottery making for Ban Bua Villagers, Payao by Postgraduate Students and Dr. Suthee Wattanasiriwech. (see pictures)

3) Ceramic Exhibitions: at MFLEX, Science Day. (see pictures)

4) Other activities:
A Pottery Club which is run mainly by our postgraduate students and provides training for anyone who require experience in the processing and manufacturing of potteries. (see pictures)
